Promoting Positive
Youth Development

ICY promotes a shared understanding of positive youth development (PYD), whereby young people are empowered to reach their full potential.

ICY focuses on proactively building skills, cultivating healthy relationships, and making youth the main characters of their development efforts.

Advancing Youth
Development

ICY co-creates to improve the ability of youth-led and youth-serving institutions to design, implement, and evaluate programs that impact youth.

Using lessons from our own research, partner experience and shared knowledge, we support the scaling up of sustainable youth programs, within and across multiple sectors. We do this to equip young people to actively participate in the development of their communities.

Creating a Learning Network

ICY's Learning Network connects youth-serving initiatives, community
-based organizations, international donors, academics and Social Enterprises involved in advancing knowledge, skills, practices and partnerships around the positive development of youth. Together, we are united to support the transition of young people into highly capable adults.

Join ICY's Learning Network and Community of Practice.

Providing Training, Evaluation and Guidance

ICY conducts training, evaluates innovative youth programs, and disseminates information to expand the knowledge base about what – and does not – work in youth development.

By compiling and sharing resources in an approach based on training, assessment, and instruction, we provide our participants and partners with the tools they need to continuously improve the effectiveness of youth development activities.
